One of my professors once said something about writing which stuck with me. Though I don't remember the exact wording, I did frantically scribble down some notes on it, even though it didn't exactly have much to do with what we were learning. He stated it about Virgil, and it went something like this, "The great authors of history hold one thing in common: brutal honesty, and a lack of fear to wield it."
I firmly believe this to be the truth. Unfortunately for me, however, I do not happen to be fearless, and I believe that my writing is held back by this fact. I have, therefore, decided to make this account where I can post up some of my writing that I wouldn't be brave enough to put up where people I know would see it and know that I wrote it.
Although I am not generally a sad person, I find that some of my best writing comes out of frustration, anger, and sorrow, and I tend to vent through writing whenever I experience these emotions, so much of that will probably be put up here.
Also, I am always looking for any opportunity to improve my writing, so any feedback, tips, suggestions, or critiques are always warmly welcomed. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy my writing.
